@miles07 me too... But why?
I write music sometimes. Actually most of the time. Other times I'm listening to music, or wasting my time. Those are the three things I do. I'd love to write music for you once I write enough music for myself.

Thought I might spark a conversation even if I'm probably the least qualified to start this conversation in particular... but what do you think will happen in Metroid Prime 4?
As I've only played the first one, I can't give any speculation worth hearing, but if you must know... I think Dark Samus will resurrect and team up with Meta Ridley to kill Samus alongside the Space Pirates in an unexpected survival horror twist on the series.
Now that I'm done, discus! ...I hope there are better ideas to look at by the time I finish the trilogy and check this thread again.
RE: Hands-On First Impressions
Feels solid. I'm only in the third area, but it doesn't seem too hard to figure out where I'm going so far. The melee attack is definitely necessary for almost every enemy, but so far they've managed to keep me on my toes about exactly how it's used on each enemy.
One stand-out portion was when I was put up against a boss I felt entirely outmatched by, so I went to find more powerups... But I couldn't leave the little area. The only way out was through the boss. I took that as the game saying, "yes you can, I know you can" so with that confidence I went to face the boss one more time and sure enough, I managed to beat it the very next try.
Not sure if other Metroid games do that, but it was a really nice feeling when I finally beat the guy. Excited to keep playing.
RE: Hi, I'm new!
Gendreavus's (Nathaniel's) brother. I write music. I've watched Nathaniel play Metroid for as long as we had it, and started with Prime several years ago. I've never been the biggest Metroid gamer, but I thought I'd hop on this train now that it's leaving the station again.
Though I haven't played that much (P1, a bit of P2, Super Metroid, and some Fusion) I love what I have played. I'm pumped for Nathaniel to let me play Samus Returns whenever he gets bored of it. And heck, I might check out the rest of the catalog too at some point.
RE: My Chip Music
You certainly have a lot of cool, interesting ideas. I have trouble understanding how some of them mesh together, but many of the ideas are good nonetheless. I'd love to see some kind of melodic idea given some real time to flesh itself out and expand. When presented so many ideas in such a short time, it can feel exciting, but more often we just get confused with the sudden changes. You've shown that you can make long, ever-changing pieces, so try making a few shorter things with ideas consistent across the board. You have a lot of potential!
