For me, the best track in the series is Kraid's Lair, hands down.
Hard for me to pick one singular favorite. I love the music for Kraid's Lair in Metroid, Red Brinstar from Super Metroid, both tracks from Sector 4 (AQA) in Fusion, Underwater Frigate Reactor Core from Metroid Prime, Quadraxis from Prime 2, Bryyo from Prime 3, and basically everything from AM2R.
If I had to pick which (official) game in the series has the best music though, I'd probably go with Prime 2. Pretty much every area has great music (maybe except Agon), every (non guardian) boss has a great track, and the entire OST has thematic structure that matches the atmosphere of the game.
TBH, I love MDB. They are special and Ryan has done something amazing. MDB forever! MHQ forever!

Hey everyone, Saturnaut here. You all know me as the guy that was supposed to get the forums revamped 5 years ago, and instead killed them. Until now. All part of the plan. Anyway, I joined MHQ in ... 2005, I think, under the username "Axion". I'm a software architect and an avid Metroid fan (but a crap speed runner). Glad to see the revitalization of the Metroid community. All hail Samus' Return!
@metroid3d That wasn't open by default was it? Could be a setting we can play around with. I think it is there more for context. Could be useful when threads start to get large.
Hey everyone! I wanted to create a thread to keep everyone posted on where I am at with sending out the donation prizes. I've been super busy catching up with work / family / life after the marathon, so I haven't had a chance to start mailing anything out yet - but I will be doing so shortly. After writing this post I'm off to acquire tubes for the posters (something I tried to do yesterday, but all three post offices near me were out of them).
