Welcome to the new Metroid HQ! We have returned from our years-long stint as a Facebook page and Discord server (both of which still exist, by the way) to provide you the Premium Web-Based Experience:tm: you all expect from us!
With that said, the site is still very much under construction. All the forum functionality you're looking for should be here, but we'll be updating styles and layouts in the coming weeks until we turn this into something more 'us.' If you have any issues or suggestions, let us know in the Comments & Feedback section and we'll take them into account as we continue working.
